Cosford Airshow 2019

On Sunday 9 June, Pennant headed across to the RAF Cosford Airshow to join our partners Aviation Skills Partnership (ASP) in Hangar 15. The air show itself was exceptionally busy with both industry experts and families attending to tackle the STEM activities, watch the RAF Red Arrows, wonder around the stalls and for many to make the most of the sunny weather.

Pennant demonstrated the newly launch GFIT hand skills trainer which provides students with the initial cognitive and manipulative skills required for accurate hardware assembly. Cliff said “The air show was exceptionally busy and it was great to see so many families stopping by Hangar 15 to have a go at the STEM activities. The GFIT was very popular amongst both boys and girls and many quickly picked up the task for the hand skills trainer. We hope this has encouraged many young budding engineers or those seeking a career in the aviation industry to look at it further”.

Alongside the GFIT trainer, Pennant also demonstrated a piece of VR Kit, the Loadmaster. Kyle said: “Virtual Reality is always popular at event days like these, it gives both younger and older generations a chance to experience and interact with quality virtual reality products. The loadmaster had long queues from start of the day all the way to closing time.”

We want to thank our Pennant representatives who volunteered their time and everyone who stopped by to see our training kit.
